Roman Middlewich Trail
Walking
The Roman Middlewich Trail commences at the library and is easily identified by the large red interpretation panels along the route. This trail looks at Roman Middlewich, the salt making industry, the military and much more.
A leaflet is available from Middlewich Information Centre to lead you around the trail, and there is also an audio tape available which provides a running commentary and further interpretation of the red panels.
There are also trained heritage guides on hand to give you a personalised experience of Roman Middlewich. The guides will accompany small parties or groups, usually in the summer months. To book a guided tour, please contact Middlewich Town Council on 01606 833434. A guided visit will take approximately an hour and a half or longer if you prefer to break up your tour to visit one of the drinking hostelries along the way.
